      NOPI Disclosure Statement Policy

      This policy ensures legal compliance by disclosing the fiscal sponsorship status of organizations affiliated with the Nonprofit Organization for Philanthropic Initiatives (NOPI).

      Disclosure Statement Policy

      Effective Date: July 1, 2024

      Purpose 

      This policy ensures legal compliance by disclosing the fiscal sponsorship status of organizations affiliated with the Nonprofit Organization for Philanthropic Initiatives (NOPI). Fiscally sponsored projects and organizations must clearly disclose and state in writing their affiliation with the fiscal sponsor in all grant proposals, solicitations, and published or online materials.

      Policy

      Required Use of Disclosure Statement. All organizations fiscally sponsored by NOPI must include the above disclosure statement on their official documents, including but not limited to:

      • Websites
      • Marketing materials
      • Grant applications
      • Financial documents
      • Public communications
      • Contracts and agreements
      Placement of Disclosure Statement. The disclosure statement must be prominently displayed in an easily visible and legible location. On websites, it should appear in the footer and/or on a designated "About Us" page. It should be placed in a section where it is easily noticeable in printed materials.

      Verification of Compliance. NOPI will periodically review the materials of fiscally sponsored organizations to ensure compliance with this policy. Organizations found to be non-compliant will be required to make necessary corrections immediately.

      Updates to Disclosure Statement. NOPI reserves the right to update the disclosure statement as needed to reflect any changes in legal requirements or organizational information. Fiscally sponsored organizations will be notified of any changes and are expected to implement the updated statement promptly.

      Training and Support. NOPI will provide training and support to ensure that all fiscally sponsored organizations understand this policy's requirements and know how to implement the disclosure statement correctly.

      By adhering to this policy, fiscally sponsored organizations will maintain transparency and legal compliance regarding their sponsorship status with NOPI.
